"Python" Wide Band Web Guide Edge Sensor

Wide band edge sensor for web guiding systems

Python is a next-generation wide band infrared edge sensor that integrates the illuminator and receiver in a single housing. This unique design allows the sensor to read the web material across its entire width, making it the perfect solution for web material width changes without manual repositioning.

Python is engineered to detect both edges of the web material (such as paper, cardboard, and opaque plastic film), to ensure precise detection of the material’s position. It can also identify the center position and measure the material width. Its compact design makes installation easy in any machine layout.

Equipped with advanced electronics, the wide band infrared sensor Python offers a reading range from 8.5″ (216 mm) to 138″ (3500 mm) and extremely fast response times, guaranteeing continuous and precise control even at high production speeds. The integrated keypad with four buttons, a 23-LED bar and a four-digit display allows for quick and simple calibration.

With five selectable outputs (0–5 V, 0–10 V, 4–20 mA, 0–20 mA, 0–24 mA), the wide band infrared sensor Python can be easily integrated into any web guiding system or application. An optional CAN communication interface is also available, enabling remote calibration and adjustment for even greater operational flexibility.
