Eleflex electromagnetic powder brakes are an ideal choice for web unwinding applications that require low residual torque and/or a completely clean environment. They produce zero dust emissions so they can be used in clean rooms, in the printing industry, and in food and pharmaceutical packaging processes. These powder brakes are designed to optimize web tension control and subsequently to reduce web material waste.

The Eleflex series of brakes offers eight different sizes to perfectly match the torque and heat dissipation requirements of any web process. To further customize the brake, we can add a radiator or fan to increase the brake’s heat dissipation capabilities.

The special design of Eleflex electromagnetic powder brakes reduces residual magnetism and mechanical friction, bringing residual torque down to less than 1% of nominal torque and ensuring a more stable voltage. The interaction between the coil, stator, rotor and magnetic powder allows precise and linear torque control. As a result, the brake responds quickly to line speed and web tension changes.
