Antlia Electro-Pneumatic Converter
The Antlia electro-pneumatic converter (E/P converter) is used in web tension control systems using pneumatic brakes. The converter receives an electrical signal from a tension controller and converts it into a proportional pneumatic signal, which is then sent to a brake or clutch, to adjust the web tension. It can be used both in open-loop and closed-loop systems.
Thanks to its compact dimensions (1.24″ x x1.34″ x 2.52″) it can be easily installed near the brake or the clutch it is connected to, in order to obtain the best performance possible.
The Antlia is available in the standard size and a larger (XL) size to suit most web converting process applications that use pneumatic brakes for tension control.
