Safety Chucks - SAF and SAP Series

Re USA Sliding Safety Chucks Model SAF and SAP

Safety chucks are used to support each end of a core shaft during unwinding or rewinding of web material. Re safety chucks use a sliding action to move the faceplate in and out for shaft loading and unloading. When the shaft is loaded, with the shaft journals seated in the chuck jaw inserts, operators simply slide the faceplate forward to secure the shaft. The chucks feature a backup “safety” mechanism which automatically closes the faceplate as winding begins.

Re safety chucks guarantee a very high roll security level and the smooth sliding action makes roll loading quick and easy, without any binding. The robust design ensures that the chucks last a long time. They can be used with any type of core shaft (strip shafts, lug shafts, differential rewind shafts, etc.), and can be provided with a wide range of insert shapes and sizes.

To guarantee operator safety, the chucks only open in the upright position (using a manual push button).
